Inspector Megure comes to the Mouri Detective Agency with a request. He asks them to investigate his subordinate, Detective Sawatari, who is having an affair. While his wife is back at her parents house, he has been dining with another woman at a cafe frequented by couples, visiting a high-end jewelry shop, and buying a bouquet of flowers, circumstantial evidence seems to confirm the affair.
