Conan, Ran, and Kogoro are eating at a restaurant where they overhear salaryman Kusano brag about all the "acts of kindness" he has performed. His colleague Yamanashi forces a smile as he listens, as it sounds to him like Kusano has been meddling instead of helping. Meanwhile, Kotani sits at the counter, trembling with rage. Kotani is a victim of Kusano's meddling and is plotting something while watching Kusano...
