Guan Chao exhausts his resources seeking a catalyst to activate his temporal device. After an operational anomaly, he bypasses physical space and plummets straight into the Memory Collection Depot. There, he crosses paths with memory administrator Fang Tang. Guan Chao discovers that his reality is interconnected with the human memory web and that he cannot return home without resolving a spreading infection.
